With great sadness we announce the passing of Samuel Wayne Smith. He passed away in his home, with his sister Yvonne by his side, on Monday, September 5th, 2011 at the age of 51.
He is survived by his three children Devon, Erica and Sarina.
Wayne enjoyed the work of carpentry and never seemed to tire of travelling. He was a stubborn and free-spirited man but would do almost anything for close family and friends, which is what people loved in him. He will be forever missed.
Respecting his wishes, he will be set to rest by his children at Great Slave Lake. The funeral service will be held at Fisher River community hall in Fisher River reserve on Saturday September 10th, 2011 at 3 pm.
